The National Day of Small and Medium Enterprises is still growing in the United States, in partnership with the MSIC, the Italian companies, and it will include a tribute for Giorgio Squinzi.

The PMI DAY, the National Day of Small and Medium Enterprises, organized by Piccola Industria of Confindustria to promote the spread of Made in Italy business culture among young American students, is still growing in the United States thanks to the partnership with the Miami Scientific Italian Community and the small, medium-sized Italian companies operating in the USA. This year, in every event of the PMI DAY, in USA the president of MAPEI and former President of Confindustria, Giorgio Squinzi, who recently passed away, will be remembered with a tribute.

The PMI DAY, in the United States, involves the Italian Embassy of Washington and it’s supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Besides the contribution of the Miami Scientific Italian Community, it is also promoted in collaboration with ISSNAF (Italian Scientists and Scholars in the North America Foundation), MAYAC, ODLI (Organization for the Development of Italian Studies), AbroadTo (the Community of the Italian Companies), and Orgoglio Brescia.

The initiative is coordinated by Stefano Zapponini, Presidency Advisor of Piccola Industria of Confindustria and member of the International Advisory Board of the Miami Scientific Italian Community and it is included in the Corporate Culture Week organized by Confindustria and promoted by the EU Commission within the European SME Week.

He was a friend, a respectable person with great abilities and great humanity who has been able to make his company a market leader, to innovate his products, and to always keep an open and constructive dialogue with the workers. A capable and perceptive entrepreneur who has been the protagonist of the recent history of the Italian industry and who, with his example, can symbolize the spirit of this initiative and well represent the model to inspire the young American students to become the protagonists of today and next future world-wide economy “.
