In October 2020, Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) announced the first-ever Florida International Trade Expo, a virtual showcase of leading Florida export products and services. Florida is the first U.S. state to organize such a virtual trade event. The Florida Trade Expo will take place on March 16-18, 2021.
This global online platform will connect Florida small and medium-sized companies directly with a targeted worldwide business audience of foreign companies interested in their products and services.
While national and global trade organizations have transitioned to virtual trade shows since the pandemic began, no U.S. state has held an exclusive event highlighting its small businesses and industry assets.
The Expo has attracted over180 Florida companies and organizations. Enterprise Florida is targeting 5,000 total attendees from around the world over the course of the three-day event. Visitors will include Agents, distributors, buyers, representatives, and wholesalers seeking high-quality products for distribution and sale in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Africa, Asia and Middle East. Partners supporting the event include the U.S. Commercial Service, EFI’s international offices and several trade and industry associations.
The Expo will use the latest in virtual, thematic event technology, including a grand exhibition hall featuring all Florida exhibitors, a virtual scheduler to request video meetings with exhibitors; an innovation center; a press room; networking opportunities, and informative, topic-specific webinars each morning from 10:00 a.m. ET to 11:30 a.m. ET. Industries will include aviation and aerospace, life sciences, information technology, financial and professional services, manufacturing, and other key industry sectors throughout the state of Florida.
Enterprise Florida (EFI) is a public-private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for the U.S. state of Florida. EFI’s mission is to expand and diversify the state’s economy through job creation.
EFI is the state’s primary entity for trade and export development, supporting more than 60,000 Florida exporting businesses. Over the last decade, the total value of Florida’s merchandise trade has nearly doubled, reaching $153.6 billion in 2019.
