A professor of Sapienza University among the researchers who created a model which aims to predict the spread of COVID-19 contamination in Italy
A team of Italian researchers, Giovanna Jona Lasinio of the Department of Statistical Sciences of Sapienza University of Rome, Fabio Divino (University of Molise), Alessio Farcomeni (University of Rome “Tor Vergata”), Gianfranco Lovison (University of Palermo) and Antonello Maruotti (LUMSA University, Rome) developed StatGroup-19. The statistical model aims to predict the spread of COVID-19 contamination in Italy. The purpose is to provide correct information on how to read the data contained in the daily bulletins from Protezione Civile.
