Dr. Claudia Brunori was born in 1970 and currently serves as the Director of the ENEA‘s (Italian Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) Department of Sustainability.
Dr. Claudia Brunori graduated from Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in chemistry. Dr. Brunori, a circular economy technology and tool expert, served as deputy director of the ENEA’s Department for Circular Economy Issues and head of the Division for Efficient Resource Use and Closing Cycles.
In addition to being a member of associations and institutional committees, she is the author of multiple scholarly articles.
540 researchers and technicians work for the Sustainability Department, which is divided into six divisions, four technical and scientific sections, and two administrative services. With the appointment of Claudia Brunori, in ENEA the percentage of female figures in top roles rises to 40 and the percentage at the top of research departments to 75 (three out of four).
