The University is one of the initial signatories to a joint statement released by 32 Universities in 20 countries
Luiss Guido Carli University is one of the first to add its signature to the joint statement on the importance of internationalization of higher education: “Mobility in higher education as a catalyst for resilience and renewal”

The initiative, first brought to the fore by IE University (Spain) during the annual conference on Reinventing Higher Education, was immediately endorsed by 32 Rectors and Presidents from global institutions in 20 countries.

Luiss Rector, Andrea Prencipe undersigning the statement during the online ceremony which took place on June 29, 2020, stated, “Luiss is proud to be one of the first signatories to contribute to the promotion of such a significant initiative, which highlights the importance of global engagement of universities, especially during these complex times which seem to be discouraging such interaction.”

The current uncertainty prevailing throughout the halls of higher education during this critical time was addressed at length by experts across the sector, who forecasted various scenarios playing out. The objective of issuing a collective statement serves to inspire reflection surrounding the role of globalization in the educational mission.
